Top Ten Nigerian songs in July 2019

The month of July was an interesting one for lovers of Nigerian music and the industry in general as we witnessed remarkable growth in the music industry in July.

Beyoncé curated and released ‘The Lion King: The Gift’ album and she went into Africa to enlist the continent’s finest artists for the album and off the artists selected for the album, six of them were Nigerians.

The self-acclaimed African giant – Burna Boy also released his highly anticipated album ‘African Giant’  this month and Davido’s single ‘Blow My Mind’ was also blessed with Chris Brown vocals.

As Afro-beat continues to gain worldwide recognition, the competition at home toughens with every passing day and hard work, consistency and remarkable talent have proved to be the key to remain relevant in the highly competitive Nigerian music industry.

In July, a lot of songs were released, some were hit songs while others were just regular songs. Natirovibe presents the top ten Nigerian songs for the month of July 2019.

Davido ft. Chris Brown – Blow My Mind

A few months back, Davido took to his Instagram story to share a screenshot of him and Chris Brown video chatting and announced that they got something coming up. Shortly after that, pictures of the singer and Chris Brown surfaced only.

I thought we would have to wait till Davido drops his album before we could hear the song they made together but Davdo had a different plan.

On the 25th of July, Davido released ‘Blow My Mind’ featuring Chris Brown. The song was produced by Shizzi and it was a masterpiece. A few days later, Davido released the ‘Edgar Esteves’ directed video for the song and in 24 hours, the video accrued 2 million views on YouTube, making him the first Nigerian artist to achieve this feat.
